LOUIS is a classic men‘s cardigan that needs a bit of work. First, the shoulders are formed and joined together. Then a few sleeve stitches are picked up at the top of the shoulders, so the sleeve can be knitted together with the body stitches from here. The pockets are knitted into the front pieces and sewn on at the end with a few stitches. At the very end, the bands are knitted and the double collar, which is also sewn on the left side.
MATERIAL:The shown sample is worked with ERIKA KNIGHT VINTAGE WOOL.
BUTTONS:
5 to 7 buttons of diameter 0,6 inch (15 mm).
NEEDLES:
Circular needles and dpns (or magic loop) US8 (5.0 mm), US7 (4.5 mm) and US6 (4.0 mm), or needle sizes required to obtain gauge.
2 additional dpns, size US8 (5.0 mm) for the pocket backs.
GAUGE:
17 sts x 25 rows in stockinette stitch on larger needles for 4 x 4 inch (10 x 10 cm), swatch washed.
